The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed by 198.7 points, or 0.47%, opening at 42,113.42. Similarly, the S&P 500 gained 40.0 points, or 0.70%, reaching 5,762.22. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite saw a significant rise of 245.1 points, or 1.36%, opening at 18,327.34.
This upward trend was further supported by a weekly jobless claims report that came in softer than expected, providing additional market momentum.
