Osmania General Hospital in Telangana State is a beacon of hope, offering free organ transplantation services that have transformed the lives of many poor patients. Among the success stories is Ravi Sundar from Nalgonda, who was admitted with critical liver failure but has since recovered post-transplant.

Another patient, Narender from Vallampatla, Siddipet, has also benefited from a life-saving liver transplant. The hospital's dedicated team of surgeons and support staff have been pivotal in these successful procedures. Both donors' skin was preserved for burn victims, further extending the impact of these donations.

Dr. Rakesh Sahay, Superintendent of Osmania Hospital, highlighted the rising trend in community organ donations. "Last month, we completed two cadaver liver transplants, four kidney transplants, and multiple corneal and skin donations," he revealed. The initiative, bolstered by the Telangana government's Aarogyasri scheme, ensures all procedures and lifelong immunosuppressive drugs are free of charge, benefiting numerous underprivileged patients.

Osmania's medical team comprises experts like Prof. Manisha Sahai, Dr. Mallikarjun, and others, who have collectively made significant strides in transplant surgeries. Their efforts are not limited to the poor; even doctors have sought life-saving treatments here, underscoring the hospital's remarkable capabilities.
