M2P Fintech has successfully raised Rs 850 crore in the first close of its Series D financing round, the company announced on Tuesday. Helios Investment Partner led the financing round, with funds being raised through a mix of primary and secondary share capital at a valuation of over Rs 6,550 crore.

The capital will be utilized to reinforce the company's market position in India and support its international expansion plans, especially in Africa. The CEO and Co-founder, Madhusudanan R, emphasized the significant potential for fintech innovation in Africa's rapidly growing digital economy.

The funding round also attracted participation from prominent banks across Asia. Helios Investment Partners has a robust track record in expanding fintech businesses in Africa, aligning well with M2P Fintech's strategic ambitions for high-growth and tech-focused investments.
