Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has sanctioned funding for numerous developmental projects in the state, notably the reconstruction of the motor road in Champawat and the expansion of Pantnagar Airport. Additionally, the CM Dhami-led BJP government has announced a 4% dearness allowance increase for employees in corporations, bodies, and authorities beginning January 1, 2024.

An allocation of Rs 531.68 lakh has been approved for the reconstruction of the Chhinkachhina-Roulmel motor road in Pati block of Champawat district. Another Rs 314.54 lakh has been sanctioned for the asphalting of the Bangsheel-Goldhar motor road in Tehri Garhwal district's Dhanaulti assembly constituency.

In Chamoli district's Tharali assembly constituency, Rs 581.23 lakh has been allocated for road improvements and asphalting from km 1 to 5, connecting the Nyaya Panchayat headquarters in Ustoli. Moreover, Manoli Daboli Motor Road will be named after Martyr Assistant Commandant Charu Chandra Pathak as per the Chief Minister's announcement.

For Pantnagar Airport's expansion, a financial approval of Rs 24,92,066 has been given to appoint a DPR consultant for the four-lane work from 43.446 km to 93.226 km up to Rampur Kathgodam under NH-8, and the realignment of 54+500 to 61+300 km under NH-87. Meanwhile, the 4% dearness allowance increase will also cover employees in public bodies following the fifth central pay scale, effective January 1, 2024.

Both serving and retired personnel in various panchayats, autonomous institutions, and undertakings will benefit from the enhanced dearness allowance, aligning with state employees' entitlements. The DA hike aims to provide financial relief to personnel in these sectors starting from the specified date.
