Lithuania has signed a memorandum of understanding with Northrop Grumman Corporation to develop an ammunition plant in the Baltic country that could also benefit Ukraine. The joint statement, released on Monday, highlighted that this collaboration aims to strengthen Lithuania's domestic defense industry and minimize reliance on extended supply chains.
Lithuanian Finance Minister Gintare Skaiste expressed optimism about the cooperation, emphasizing the potential benefits for both Lithuania and the broader region, including Ukraine. Steve O'Bryan, corporate vice president of Northrop Grumman, noted that the project aligns with the company's commitment to supporting U.S. and allied nations through global partnerships.
