In a recent address, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot sharply criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for not condemning Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu's derogatory remarks about Rahul Gandhi. Gehlot emphasized the significant contributions of the Gandhi family to India, labeling Bittu's comments as deeply condemnable.
Gehlot asserted that the BJP and RSS should have promptly issued a statement addressing the Union minister's contentious remarks. Previously, the Minister of State for Railways had controversially stated that Rahul Gandhi should be awarded the title of 'number one terrorist', citing his alleged connections with separatists and extremists.
The controversy has led to the filing of an FIR against Union Minister Bittu. The case was lodged at High Grounds police station in Bengaluru, based on a complaint from a Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee official. Additionally, Gehlot discussed the formation of new districts in Rajasthan, advocating for more administrative divisions given the state's geographical conditions.
