Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took part in the foundation stone-laying ceremony for 127 developmental projects on Monday. While speaking at the event, he highlighted the Jal Jeevan Mission, emphasizing that it not only provides fresh drinking water but also aims to eradicate water-borne diseases, setting new standards for such schemes.

'There was a drinking water crisis in the Vindhya region,' the Chief Minister said, attributing the resolution to the Prime Minister's vision through the 'Har Ghar Jal Yojana.' He added that when completed, the scheme would ensure safe drinking water and freedom from water-borne diseases, raising the bar for public health initiatives.

Yogi Adityanath further discussed the 'Har Ghar Nal' scheme, noting its implementation. He announced the inauguration of medical colleges in Soanbhadra and Mirzapur, which will include a nursing center offering 100% placement. He also mentioned a new university in Mirzapur, honoring Maa Vindhyavasini, which will commence educational activities in the next session.

The Chief Minister highlighted that past governments failed to implement schemes properly, often discriminating based on caste. Under the current government, he asserted, the poor, farmers, and women have benefited from various schemes without discrimination. He reminisced about Mirzapur's lack of connectivity and safety issues a decade ago, contrasting it with the area's present development.

He also noted that the Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya had recently organized an employment fair in Mirzapur, distributing tablets and smartphones and implementing multiple schemes aimed at uplifting the population. Yogi Adityanath emphasized that the current government prioritizes national unity and security, steering clear of divisive tactics.
