Goa [India], September 23 (ANI): An Uzbekistan national has been arrested by the Goa Police for alleged possession of narcotic drugs suspected to be cocaine, authorities confirmed. The arrest took place during a raid conducted near Sinquerim Jetty in Bardez-Goa on September 21.

Identified as 42-year-old Jumaeva Amira, the Uzbekistan national was found in illegal possession of approximately 12.05 grams of suspected cocaine, worth around Rs. 1,20,000, according to a police statement.

Acting on credible information received by the Calangute Police Station, authorities conducted the raid when they learned a woman would be delivering narcotic drugs to prospective customers. The raid led to the seizure of the suspected substances. An offence has been registered under the NDPS Act of 1985, and further investigation is currently underway, police said. (ANI)
