Rajouri Prepares for Second Phase of J&K Assembly Polls

District Election Officer (DEO) for Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, highlighted the focus on polling staff welfare and ensuring free and fair elections as the region gears up for the second phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls.
Sharma reported that Rajouri will host 745 polling stations across five assembly constituencies. With voting scheduled for September 25, he assured that doubts regarding electronic voting machines (EVMs) have been cleared, emphasizing the aim of conducting elections to the standards of the Election Commission.
Chief Electoral Officer of J-K, PK Pole, was involved in an electoral awareness initiative under the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program. He encouraged a large turnout for the elections, also taking place in Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal on the same day, and assured that all basic amenities would be available at polling stations to improve the voting experience.
