Woman Consumes Poison Over Illegal Property Dispute

A 35-year-old woman was hospitalized in Lucknow after ingesting poison, alleging illegal property possession by local goons, according to an official statement released on Saturday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Central, Manisha Singh, disclosed that the woman, originally from Shikohabad in Firozabad, traveled to Lucknow by bus with the intent to present her grievances at the Chief Minister's residence. She claimed the goons had occupied her land and were threatening to kill her son. Despite her complaints, no action had been taken.
"Upon arriving near the Chief Minister's residence, the woman felt dizzy and sat on the road, attracting the attention of a police official. She admitted to having consumed poison and was promptly admitted to the civil hospital, where she is now receiving treatment," said the official. The Firozabad district police are investigating, with documents revealing that the woman's house was in dispute and her son faced threats. The investigation continues, with further details awaited.
