Bharatiya Janata Party MP Manoj Tiwari has urged Delhi's new Chief Minister Atishi to order an inquiry into the city's liquor policy and to investigate the government's alleged revenue loss.
In an official letter, Tiwari presented a list of requests, asking for a detailed explanation about why the liquor policy was retracted and the financial implications. He also raised concerns about the exorbitant costs for semi-permanent school structures and stressed the need for immediate repairs of broken roads under the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
Tiwari further criticized former CM Arvind Kejriwal, attributing much of Delhi's current issues to his administration. He congratulated Atishi while urging her to act decisively without worrying about protecting Kejriwal's legacy, assuring her of BJP's support for Delhi's development.
Responding to Tiwari's comments, AAP leader Gopal Rai stated that the government aims to continue the initiatives begun under Kejriwal, focusing on issues like air pollution control and providing better services despite challenging conditions. Atishi, at 43, becomes Delhi's third female Chief Minister, with other AAP leaders also sworn in as her ministers.
