Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has criticized the former YSRCP administration, accusing it of financial mismanagement and neglecting development. Kalyan stated that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu assumed power during a period of significant fiscal disorder.
"We came to power when the state's financial situation was chaotic with widespread misappropriation. The people gave us a significant mandate with over 160 seats and 21 Members of Parliament under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu," Kalyan told ANI. He was speaking during the 100-day celebrations of the NDA coalition government's return to office.
Reflecting on the transition, Kalyan remarked, "It was a challenge for us. People were frustrated with the previous government. We noticed a glaring lack of job opportunities for the youth. Since taking office, the NDA government has initiated the recruitment of 16,437 teachers, addressing employment gaps left by the previous administration."
Kalyan also highlighted the coalition's success in the recent elections, with the TDP-BJP-Janasena NDA securing a landslide victory in both the Assembly and parliamentary elections. Janasena Party won all 21 assembly constituencies it contested.
Currently, the TDP holds 135 seats in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, Janasena has 21, and the BJP has eight, while the opposition YSR Congress Party retains 11 seats. (ANI)
