Elderly Men Arrested in Mumbai for Sexual Crimes Against Minors and Domestic Help

A 60-year-old man was arrested in Dharavi for raping a minor, and an 85-year-old man from Malabar Hill has been accused of molesting a 20-year-old domestic help. Both incidents have sparked police investigations, with arrests made in one case and a notice issued in the other.

A 60-year-old man was arrested in Dharavi on Tuesday after being charged with raping a minor girl. The accused, Jafar Hanif Khan, reportedly entered the girl's residence while hiding his face with a mask. However, his mask fell off during the crime, leading to the girl's identification of him.

The minor victim screamed upon recognizing Khan's voice, prompting him to threaten her with a knife and an acid attack to silence her. She suffered minor injuries in the process, according to Mumbai police. In a separate incident, an 85-year-old man from Malabar Hill has been accused of molesting a 20-year-old domestic help at his residence.

The domestic help, who began working for the family on September 9, filed a complaint after the accused allegedly touched her inappropriately and grabbed her. Although the police have registered a case, no arrests have been made, but a notice has been issued to the accused. Investigations are ongoing in both cases.
