A senior manager at Russia's largest oil producer, Rosneft, has left his post, the Kommersant newspaper reported on Wednesday, citing unidentified sources familiar with the matter. Andrei Shishkin joined Rosneft in 2012 and oversaw energy, localisation, and innovation as vice president.
Shishkin was responsible for the construction of the Zvezda shipyard in Russia's Far East, whose production includes ice-class liquefied natural gas carriers being manufactured for Novatek's Arctic LNG 2 project. He also served as the head of oil producer Bashneft, which Rosneft acquired in 2016.
A source cited by Kommersant said Shishkin left his post because his contract had expired. Rosneft could not be reached for immediate comment on the report.
