Inauguration of Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express by PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched the Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express from Raipur railway station. The new high-speed train promises enhanced safety and modern amenities, reducing travel time between Durg and Visakhapatnam to eight hours. School children expressed enthusiasm during their maiden journey.

In a virtual ceremony on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express train from Raipur railway station. This event marked a significant milestone in India's railway modernization efforts.
Loco pilot J D Navrengay highlighted the key features of the new express, stating that it will complete the journey from Raipur to Visakhapatnam in just eight hours. The train operates at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour and is equipped with advanced safety features, including doors that must be closed before the engine starts, ensuring passenger safety.
School children were among the first passengers, demonstrating high enthusiasm for the state-of-the-art train. One student, Diksha Sahu, praised the train's cleanliness and modern amenities. School principal Bhushan Paragniya emphasized the train's benefits for intercity travelers and its potential to expedite the development of Chhattisgarh.
The flagging off ceremony saw the participation of key dignitaries, including Chhattisgarh Governor Raman Deka, Union Minister Tokhan Sahu, and other prominent officials.
