A 47-year-old man identified as Anand Kashyap died after a portion of a balcony collapsed in Adhyapak Nagar, near Nangloi, in the national capital on Friday, officials said.

According to the Delhi Fire Service, the incident occurred on Friday night at about 9.20 PM when part of the balcony gave way, causing severe injuries to Kashyap. He was promptly taken to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Earlier on the same day, a separate incident in Delhi's Nabi Karim area saw one fatality and two injuries due to a building collapse. Continuous and heavy rainfall has exacerbated conditions, leading to widespread waterlogging and traffic chaos across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).
