Amit Shah Unveils National Security Strategies Conference 2024

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the National Security Strategies Conference 2024 in Delhi. The conference aims to develop solutions to national security challenges. Over 750 officers, Union Ministers, and police leadership participated. Shah also honored fallen officers and launched a new NCRB dashboard for implementing past conference recommendations.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the two-day National Security Strategies (NSS) Conference 2024 in the national capital on Friday. The conference aims to develop a roadmap of solutions to emerging national security challenges, involving top police leadership from states, Union Territories, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and Central Police Organisations (CPOs).

With over 750 officers participating from across the country, the event is being held in a hybrid format, combining physical and virtual modes. Union Ministers of State for Home Nityanand Rai and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, additional and deputy NSAs, and heads of CAPFs and CPOs attended the first day's sessions in Delhi. DGPs of states and UTs, young police officers at the cutting-edge level, and domain experts from specialized fields joined virtually from their respective state capitals.

Before the inauguration, Shah paid homage to valorous police personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty by laying a wreath at the martyrs column. He also launched the DGPs/IGPs Conference Recommendations dashboard developed by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) to implement decisions made during the annual Director Generals of Police and Inspector Generals of Police Conference chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The NSS Conference was conceived by PM Modi during the DGP/IGPs Conference to find solutions to major national security challenges. It aims to facilitate discussions among senior police leadership, young officers, and domain experts in specialized fields. PM Modi had directed the conference be held in a hybrid mode to ensure wider participation.
