Finance Minister's High-Level Meetings Boost Indo-US Investment Prospects

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met Nasdaq Executive Vice Chairman Edward Knight and discussed India's investment opportunities. Additionally, she engaged with the US International Development Finance Corporation, reaffirming India as a key geography for investment. Sitharaman highlighted the wide-ranging cooperation between India and the US.

On Friday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman convened with Edward Knight, Nasdaq's Executive Vice Chairman, to outline significant government initiatives and promising investment opportunities in India.

Knight led a delegation from the US-India Business Council, which held constructive dialogues with the minister.

In a statement on X, the finance ministry emphasized Sitharaman's discussion on the government's pivotal initiatives and the vast investment potential in the country.

Furthermore, the Finance Minister engaged with the US International Development Finance Corporation delegation, led by Deputy CEO Nisha Biswal. The US DFC recognized India as a prime investment location, highlighting extensive opportunities.

Sitharaman noted the broad-based, multi-sectoral cooperation between India and the US, focusing on mutual growth and investment prospects.
