The Supreme Court has granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged excise policy scam, a decision welcomed by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). The party accused the BJP of misusing agencies like the CBI and ED against opposition leaders.
DMK spokesperson TKS Elangovan stated, "The court has given a good decision. It is a well-known fact that the BJP is misusing agencies like CBI and ED against opposition leaders."
However, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj criticized Kejriwal, calling him the 'kingpin' of the liquor scam and describing him as a "careless CM of a careless government." Swaraj pointed out that despite the bail, Kejriwal remains barred from his office, highlighting his compromised position. She emphasized that previous court rulings affirmed the legality of his arrest and suggested Kejriwal should resign on moral grounds.
