A 58-year-old sanitation worker has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old girl in the Thane district's Mira Road area, according to Kashmira police.
Rajendra Tusabar, identified as the accused, reportedly molested the minor while she was returning home from her tuition class on Wednesday afternoon. He allegedly entered the lift and committed the act, subsequently threatening to kill the girl if she revealed the incident.
Despite the threats, the victim disclosed the ordeal to her parents, who promptly lodged a complaint at the nearest police station. Police have registered a case and arrested Tusabar.
