Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi distributed appointment letters to 476 newly-recruited government officers and employees during the 'Nijukti Mela' in Bhubaneswar on Thursday. The appointments span across seven different state departments.
Addressing the audience at Lok Seva Bhavan, CM Majhi urged the new recruits to work with dedication and commitment, ensuring government schemes reach their intended beneficiaries. He emphasized the state's goal to fill 1.5 lakh vacant posts over the next five years.
"The foundation for this significant task has been laid today with the distribution of these appointment letters. Future recruitment will be conducted transparently," CM Majhi stated, criticizing the previous administration for leaving many posts vacant and relying heavily on outsourcing. Additionally, he announced plans to create over 3.5 lakh jobs in the industrial sector.
