The Karnataka government, led by Housing Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan, will hold a 'farmers' adalat' to streamline land acquisition for township constructions in Bengaluru suburbs. The initiative aims to simplify the process by seeking farmers' consent.

During a meeting with area MLAs and state Housing Board officials, Minister Khan highlighted the plan to start land acquisition in Dabaspet, Solur, Hoskote, Bidadi, and Ramanagara. The initial phase focuses on obtaining voluntary land contributions from farmers on a 50:50 basis.

The meeting, which took place at the KHB Conference Hall, saw legislators expressing no objections to farmers voluntarily providing their land for the projects. The state's effort is aimed at fast-tracking infrastructure development in key suburban areas.
