As Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel marks three years in office, Gujarat has seen numerous advancements across various sectors. His leadership has spearheaded significant strides in empowering women and elevating their status within society. Patel assumed office on September 13, 2021, and since then, he has relentlessly propelled Gujarat's development, continuing the vision laid out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Under his guidance, Gujarat successfully hosted both the G20 meetings and the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. The state is also on track to become a national hub for semiconductors and renewable energy. The Gujarat government, under Patel's direction, is dedicated to fulfilling the 'Developed India@2047' vision, aiming for 'Developed Gujarat to Developed India'.

One of the notable initiatives includes the Chief Minister Matrushakti Yojana, which delivers nutritious meals to pregnant women and lactating mothers for crucial periods both before and after childbirth. Over 5 lakh women have benefited from this scheme. Additionally, the Nari Gaurav Policy-2024 was launched to further women's empowerment.

The Poshan Sudha Yojana, initially piloted in five tribal districts, has been expanded to 106 tehsils across all 14 tribal districts of Gujarat. The 2023 gender budget surpassed Rs 1 lakh crore for the first time, focusing on over 200 women-centric schemes. For the 2024-25 period, 804 schemes are included in the gender budget, with Rs 1 lakh 24 thousand 310 crores allocated.

Prime Minister Modi's continuous efforts for women's empowerment also saw the 2023 introduction of the 'Namo Drone Didi Yojana', which trains women to use drones for spraying fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture, thus providing them with economic opportunities through technological advancement.
