Vijender Gupta, the Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, met with Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Thursday, demanding an investigation into what he termed the 'healthcare scam' of the AAP government led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
In a formal statement, the BJP leader criticized the AAP's proclaimed 'world-class health model' as nothing more than a facade and a breeding ground for corruption. Gupta requested the L-G to conduct a thorough investigation into the involvement of AAP leaders in these alleged issues.
In response to these allegations, the AAP stated, 'The BJP and its L-G are most welcome to order all kinds of investigations. There seems to be no department where they have not ordered an investigation.' The ruling party questioned how officers under the L-G's control allowed such corruption if it did indeed occur.
