In a significant development, India has been named the exclusive partner for the European Hydrogen Week scheduled in November 2024, according to the New & Renewable Energy Ministry.

The announcement was made during the International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH-2024) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event served as a platform to emphasize India's commitment to meeting the European Union's green regulations to enhance export opportunities.

Notably, a Letter of Intent (LoI) was signed between Chane Terminal from the Netherlands and India's ACME Cleantech for ammonia import terminals. The conference also featured insights from the EU, Australia, and the Netherlands on the green hydrogen sector, with a focus session on the EU's Emission Trading System reforms aimed at scaling up hydrogen as a competitor to fossil fuels.
