Crude bombs were discovered in a house in Ward number 12 of Bhatpara Municipality in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district on Thursday. Bhatpara Police, along with the Bomb Disposal Squad, promptly arrived on the scene, implementing necessary security measures to safely neutralize the explosive devices.

Earlier the same day, a suspicious bag was reported near the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, triggering an immediate response from dog squads and bomb disposal teams. Authorities were swiftly mobilized following the alarming discovery.

Adding to the tense atmosphere, the Enforcement Directorate conducted a search operation at the residence of Sandip Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College, located in Chinar Park, Kolkata. This intervention coincides with the ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and investigate potential threats. (ANI)
