Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday met with Taku Ishii, the Parliamentary Vice Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, during his visit to Tokyo. He extended an invitation to Ishii to attend the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit scheduled for December.

Earlier, Sharma led a high-level delegation to an investors' meet in Seoul, South Korea. This event marked the first international investors' meet for the state's upcoming 'Rising Rajasthan' Global Investment Summit 2024. Addressing the investors, Sharma outlined his government's ambitious goal of doubling Rajasthan's economy from $180 billion to $350 billion in the next five years. He assured potential investors that the state is improving its business processes to enhance ease of doing business.

Chief Minister Sharma urged startups, innovators, and leading business groups in South Korea to explore investment opportunities in Rajasthan. He emphasized that the state seeks not only investments but also long-term partnerships across various sectors. Sharma announced forthcoming policies designed to create a business-friendly environment, including new industrial, export promotion, MSME, and One District, One Product (ODOP) policies.

Besides the investors' meet, Sharma held one-on-one sessions with senior officials from several major South Korean companies and sector-specific associations. These included POSCO International, SG Corporation, GS E&C, Hanwha Solution, and Jeonbuk Creative Economy Innovation Centre. (ANI)
