Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL), a subsidiary of the Vedanta group, announced on Tuesday the supply of high-quality zinc for the country's heaviest transmission steel pole structure, boasting a weight of over 200 metric tonnes.

The company's premium-grade zinc was essential in the galvanisation process of the 400 kV dual pole structure, which stands at approximately 57 meters tall.

This engineering marvel, designed and produced by Skipper Ltd, forms a crucial part of the 400 kV Quad Moose DC Transmission Lines Project under the Pinnapuram Integrated Renewable Energy with Storage Project in Andhra Pradesh.
