Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut criticized the arrival of Amit Shah and BJP officials for the two-day visit, accusing them of undermining Mumbai's identity and resources. He highlighted Shah's frequent visits to Lalbaugcha Raja and alleged that BJP's actions are impacting Mumbai's status.
Raut noted that the prestige of the deity does not increase with material donations, emphasizing the sincere faith of devotees. He claimed that industrial and trade resources are being moved to Gujarat, thus affecting Mumbai's prominence.
