Om Birla Attends Akhand Jyoti Yatra Sammelan on Ganesh Chaturthi

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla attended the Akhand Jyoti Yatra Sammelan at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya in Haridwar and extended greetings on Ganesh Chaturthi. He emphasized the Yatra's role in spreading spirituality and Indian culture. The ten-day festival of Ganesh Chaturthi began on September 6.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Saturday attended the Akhand Jyoti Yatra Sammelan organized at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya in Shantikunj, Haridwar, extending greetings on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

"Today, Akhand Jyoti Yatra has begun from this land of Shantikunj... This Yatra will spread the message of spirituality and knowledge to the people of the country and will also help in character building and will bring Indian culture to the countrymen," Om Birla told reporters.

Birla extended his best wishes on Ganesh Chaturthi and highlighted the tradition of offering prayers to Ganesh Ji at the beginning of new endeavors. In a post on X, he shared, "Addressed the Jyoti Kalash Yatra Sammelan organized at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya located at Shantikunj in the holy city of Haridwar. Today, the Yatra has been started in the states of the Northeast, including Rajasthan. My best wishes for this holy resolution."

Ganesh Chaturthi, a vibrant ten-day festival, is celebrated across India with great enthusiasm. Devotees engage in various preparations, including bringing Ganesh idols into their homes, observing fasts, preparing traditional offerings, and visiting pandals. The festival began yesterday (September 6) and will conclude on Anantha Chaturdashi.
