The political landscape in Haryana is heating up as discussions between Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) about a potential alliance for the upcoming Assembly elections gain momentum. Congress leader Pramod Tiwari confirmed ongoing talks, stating that the party is prepared to contest on every seat. "We have already released our first candidate's list, and we are confident that the BJP won't secure seats in double digits," Tiwari told ANI.

In a related development, Tiwari addressed the recent induction of wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat into Congress. "Vinesh Phogat mentioned she reached out to leaders across party lines, but only Congress stood by her, which influenced her decision to join us," he said. Meanwhile, AAP's General Secretary Sandeep Pathak assured complete readiness for the elections, awaiting final orders from the party's top leadership.

On Friday, AAP MP Raghav Chadha highlighted that talks for an alliance with Congress are in the national interest. "We are hopeful for a favorable alliance for Haryana and the country," Chadha noted. Deepak Babaria, AICC in-charge of Haryana, echoed these sentiments, confirming that other partners from the INDIA bloc, including CPI(M) and the Samajwadi Party, have also shown interest. Contrastingly, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala criticized the alliance as lacking clear mission and vision, accusing the parties of merely protecting their interests.
