The hunt for the so-called "man-eater" wolves in Bahraich has intensified. Authorities have divided the 30-35 kilometer affected area into four sectors, engaging 165 forest personnel, including senior officers, in continuous monitoring operations.

A coordinated effort between the Forest Department, Police Department, and District Administration has established night patrols across the affected areas, preventing further incidents at night. Forest Department's General Manager, Sanjay Pathak, stated that the officials have been on high alert since casualties were reported. Drones and cameras are being used to catch the wolves, but misinformation from the public has been a significant challenge.

Pathak highlighted that 90% of the information received from the public is false, and he urged people to report wolves only if they see them. Meanwhile, Renu Singh, Chief Conservator Forest Central Zone, mentioned that all resources are being monitored to minimize response time in wolf sightings. Thermal drones are in operation, and wolf expert Doctor Khan has been enlisted for his expertise. The search follows a tragic wolf attack that killed a three-year-old girl and injured two women, provoking local outrage over perceived negligence by authorities.
