Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Jayant Chaudhary unveiled the Reliance Foundation Skilling Academy on Friday, a groundbreaking initiative to prepare Indian youth for future job markets. Speaking via video conference, Chaudhary, who also manages the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Education, emphasized the significance of this collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

'India's youth stand at the crossroads of immense opportunities,' said Chaudhary. 'The collaboration between Reliance Foundation and NSDC marks a significant milestone in empowering them for the jobs of the future.' He highlighted the Academy's role in ensuring that young people are equipped with essential skills to thrive in an increasingly competitive world. 'By investing in skilling, we are not only building a stronger workforce but also shaping a generation of leaders ready to take on global challenges,' he added.

The launch occurred during a national conference in Mumbai, Maharashtra, themed 'Empowering Youth for the Jobs of the Future.' Organized by Reliance Foundation and NSDC, it featured prominent figures from government, industry, academia, and civil society. 'Enabling young people to achieve their aspirations is a part of Reliance Foundation's core philosophy,' stated Reliance Foundation CEO Jagannatha Kumar. 'Our Skilling Academy addresses this by providing future-ready courses, personalized guidance, and industry linkages to equip our youth for a dynamic job landscape.' Kumar also emphasized the need for collaborative ecosystems to foster innovation in skill development.

The conference stressed the importance of preparing youth for jobs within emerging technologies and strengthening skilling initiatives while ensuring equity. A publication titled 'Building India's Future Young Talent: Stories of Transformation' was also launched, showcasing success stories of individuals transformed through skilling initiatives. The platform aims to empower over 6 lakh young Indians in the next year, providing skilling, upskilling, and reskilling opportunities supported by collaborations with AICTE to boost employability.
