Maharashtra has achieved a milestone with the activation of its first 3 KW solar energy project under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana 2.0. Located in Dhondalgaon village, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, this initiative will benefit 1,753 farmers by providing them with daytime power supply.
Spread over 13 acres of public land and situated around 3 km from the MSEDCL electricity substation, the project was completed within a mere four and a half months since the power purchase agreement. This rapid development signifies a promising step towards solar energy proliferation in the state.
Beyond Dhondalgaon, farmers in adjoining villages such as Nalegaon, Amanatpurwadi, and Sanjarpurwadi are set to gain from this project. This initiative is part of a broader goal to develop solar projects with a total capacity of 9200 MW across the state.
