The morning in Delhi began with a downpour, leading to severe waterlogging and extensive traffic disruptions. Children on their way to school were seen braving the rain.

Severe waterlogging was reported in areas such as Baprola and Najafgarh Road. Traffic on Aurobindo Marg was heavily affected, with vehicles moving at a snail's pace due to water accumulation at various stretches.

Earlier, the Regional Weather Forecast Centre (RWFC) in New Delhi had predicted light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in isolated parts of Delhi, including Jafarpur and NCR regions like Greater Noida, Gurugram, and Faridabad. The Delhi traffic police issued an advisory warning of traffic disruption on Ring Road from South Extension to Lajpat Nagar due to a truck breakdown at Moolchand Underpass, urging commuters to plan their journeys accordingly.
