Delhi's Tis Hazari Court sentenced Shadab alias Salman to five years in prison for a daylight robbery at Kashmiri Gate in 2018, where two brothers were held at gunpoint and robbed. Despite police efforts, three other suspects remain at large.

The case relates to an FIR filed in 2018. Additional Sessions Judge Ekta Gauba Mann handed down the sentence. The convict was ordered to pay a Rs. 35,000 fine, with Rs. 10,000 each allotted as compensation for the victims and Rs. 11,519 for state expenses.

The court emphasized that Shadab's actions created public fear and therefore refused leniency. On September 23, 2018, Shadab and co-accused orchestrated the robbery near Mori Gate Gol Chakker. The court criticized the police for not adequately investigating the involvement of three other suspects, referring the matter to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
