In a bid to strengthen bilateral relations and address various border-related issues, the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) held a Sector Commander level coordination meeting near the Barsora Land Customs station in Bangladesh on Thursday.

The BSF delegation, led by Manoj Kumar Barnwal, DIG of Sector HQ BSF Shillong, and the BGB team, led by Md Saiful Islam Chowdhury, Deputy Director General and Sector Commander BGB Sylhet, Bangladesh, engaged in discussions on the Coordinated Border Management Plan and other pressing mutual concerns.

According to an official release, both sides expressed satisfaction with the fruitful and cordial discussions, which underscored the friendly bilateral ties between the two nations. The commanders reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a secure and peaceful border and lauded the ongoing efforts of their respective forces in maintaining regional tranquility. The meeting concluded on a positive note with an agreement to hold regular coordination meetings in the future for enhanced cooperation.
