Rajnath Singh Emphasizes Joint Military Preparedness at JCC Inauguration

Inaugurating the Joint Commanders' Conference in Lucknow, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized the critical need for jointness and integration among India's Armed Forces to tackle future challenges. Commending the services for safeguarding national interests and advancing the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' vision, he lauded ongoing efforts to enhance jointness and coordination.
Adhering to the conference's theme 'Sashakt aur Surakshit Bharat: Transforming the Armed Forces,' Singh underlined India's peace-loving stance, stressing the need for military preparedness to preserve peace. He highlighted the significance of a unified military vision and rapid, coordinated responses to provocations, preparing for potential future conflicts.
Singh urged commanders to analyze current global conflicts such as the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas situations, predicting and preparing for unforeseen challenges. He stressed broader strategic analysis, especially regarding the situation along the Northern border and neighboring countries that pose regional stability threats.
Despite global volatility, Singh noted India's unique peace dividend, underscoring the necessity for vigilance and proactive national security during Amrit Kaal. He advocated for integrating traditional and modern warfare equipment, and enhancing capabilities in space and electronic warfare to address modern threats.
The Defence Minister also emphasized leveraging advancements in data and artificial intelligence, highlighting their indirect yet decisive role in contemporary warfare. The government's commitment to the welfare of soldiers and their families, both serving and retired, remained a priority.
Launching eight innovative applications and one publication, Singh marked the conference as a step towards greater synergy among the three services. The gathering, attended by senior military and civil officials including MoS Defence Sanjay Seth and Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, reviewed national and international developments impacting India's defense capabilities.
