Kashmir University Students Meet Lt. Governor, Push for Union Reinstatement

A delegation of students from Kashmir University met with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan to advocate for the reinstatement of the Jammu and Kashmir Students Union and discuss student-related issues. Led by JKSA Coordinator Suhail Farooq, the group emphasized the union's significance for student engagement and communication.

The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) representatives highlighted the necessity of a functional student union in fostering student involvement, addressing grievances, and facilitating dialogue between students and administration. Suhail Farooq stated that reviving the union would amplify student voices and enhance the university's academic and cultural environment.

The students also urged for an expedited recruitment process to assist those preparing for competitive exams. Lt. Governor Sinha responded positively, reassuring the delegation that their concerns would be addressed, reaffirming the administration's commitment to student welfare and educational improvements in the region, according to an official statement.
