A tragic incident occurred in Mumbai's Chembur area on Wednesday when part of a house collapsed, resulting in the death of a young girl and injuries to a woman. According to civic officials, the incident took place in Saraswati Gully near Ekata Mitra Mandal on PL Lokhande Marg in Chembur (West).
The calamity was reported around 7:29 pm, officials stated. A ground-plus-one structure experienced the loosening of a steel channel, causing a partial house collapse. The deceased, Khushi Salve, a 1.5-year-old girl, was declared brought dead at the hospital.
A 35-year-old woman, identified as Kavita Salve, is currently being treated in the hospital's outpatient department (OPD). Authorities are investigating the incident further. More details are awaited as the situation unfolds. (ANI)
