The second edition of the 'Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp' was jointly launched by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), and the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell (MIC). The initiative is designed to cultivate innovation and entrepreneurial skills among students, teachers, and principals of PM-SHRI schools. It will be held across ten locations in three phases from 4 to 19 September 2024.

During the virtual inauguration, AICTE Chairman TG Sitharam, alongside Vice Chairman Abhay Jere and Vipin Kumar, Additional Secretary of DoSEL, emphasized the program's mission to transform participants into future patent holders, start-up founders, and company creators. The event drew 1,800 registrations nationwide, illustrating the strong interest in deepening the understanding of India's entrepreneurial landscape among school communities.

The two-day bootcamp, planned in three phases, commenced today with sessions in Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Dehradun, and Gandhinagar. Subsequent phases will take place in various cities, including Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Vijayawada. Participants will gain skills in design thinking, human-centric opportunity identification, and developing business models. Simultaneously, the KAPILA program for IP literacy was also launched to educate students on intellectual property filing and protection.
