The Ministry of Women and Child Development has been honored with the National Award for e-Governance 2024 (Gold) for its groundbreaking Poshan Tracker initiative. The Poshan Tracker, a key component of Mission Poshan 2.0, has shown significant progress in tracking and improving the growth of millions of young lives through its Monthly Growth Monitoring activities, as highlighted by the ministry's press release.

The Poshan Tracker program identifies and addresses growth issues among children aged 0-6 years, utilizing real-time monitoring and WHO growth charts to ensure optimal nutritional outcomes. Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) play a crucial role in evaluating children's health status and implementing timely interventions when deviations from expected growth patterns are detected.

According to the official release, the Poshan Tracker employs advanced ICT tools and Growth Measuring Devices (GMD) at each Anganwadi Center (AWC) to facilitate accurate data collection and regular monitoring. Covering 8.9 crore children, with 8.57 crore measured in one month, the initiative demonstrates impactful outreach. Mission Poshan 2.0 continues to drive awareness and community involvement through annual campaigns like Poshan Maah and Poshan Pakhwada, further underscoring its commitment to a healthier future for India's children.
