Tragedy Strikes Vaishno Devi Shrine: Landslide Claims Two Lives

A landslide and subsequent falling stones at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine claimed two lives and injured another. The Shrine Board's Disaster Management team quickly responded, transporting victims to the hospital. Restoration efforts are ongoing.

A tragic landslide followed by falling stones near the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine on Monday resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injured one more.

Swift action was taken by the Disaster Management team of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, who have arrived at the scene. According to Katra SDM Piyush Dhotra, the deceased and the injured have been transported to the hospital for further care.

"A landslide occurred in which two people lost their lives and one person is injured...The dead bodies and injured are being brought to the hospital," stated Dhotra. Restoration work is currently underway, with more updates expected soon.
