Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, accompanied by his wife Seema Yadav, participated in the sacred rituals at Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar temple on the auspicious day of Somvati Amavasya.

The CM engaged in prayers within the temple's sanctum sanctorum and later spent time in Nandi Hall, deeply immersed in devotion. Temple officials, including Ujjain Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh and Administrator Ganesh Kumar Dhakad, honored him with a shawl, a packet of prasad, and a picture of Lord Mahakaleshwar.

In the early hours, the temple carried out the traditional 'Bhasma aarti,' a revered ritual. Chief Minister Yadav also extended his prayers to Shri Vriddha Kaleshwar and Shri Anadi Kalpeshwar temples on the premises. Devotees lined the streets later in the day to witness Baba Mahakal's ceremonial ride, a tradition observed every Monday during the Sawan-Bhado months.
