A man was arrested on Sunday night for allegedly killing his wife and attempting to flee the scene near Shivaji College, under the Rajouri Garden police station area. The accused, identified as Gautam, aged around 20, confessed to the crime after being apprehended by a police constable.

According to police reports, a head constable had informed his station that he had detained a man moving suspiciously without a shirt. When questioned by the police, Gautam admitted to murdering his wife Manya, after an argument in their car in Titarpur.

The couple had married in March without their families' consent and lived separately. During the car meeting, Manya had insisted on living together, leading to a heated argument. Gautam then allegedly stabbed her multiple times, leaving her lifeless body in the vehicle. An FIR has been registered, and verification of the accused's statements is underway.
