Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has ordered government officials across various departments to stay on high alert as heavy rains continue to batter the state. Reddy communicated with Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, instructing that departments including Revenue, Municipal, Electricity, and Health, be prepared for any eventuality.

Officials have been directed to take preventive measures against potential disasters and to relocate residents from low-lying areas to relief camps without delay. With reservoir gates being opened, evacuations in flood-prone zones have become imperative. The Chief Secretary and DGP Jitender conducted a teleconference with District Collectors, SPs, Police Commissioners, and other key officials to monitor the situation and implement necessary actions.

Weather forecasts from the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre indicate light to moderate rainfall for the next three days, with particularly heavy downpours in certain areas. Dr. K Nagaratnam, Director of the Centre, announced that red warnings have been issued for the East and North East districts today and tomorrow. Hyderabad has received an orange alert, signaling moderate to heavy rains at intervals. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued alerts for various districts, warning of potential very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall.
