An early Sunday morning earthquake measuring magnitude 3 rattled Noklak town in Nagaland, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported. The quake struck at 3:36am at a depth of 10 kilometers.

On August 20, a magnitude 4.9 earthquake was recorded in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. The epicentre was at Latitude 34.17 North, Longitude 74.16 East, with a depth of 5 kilometers, NCS confirmed in another post on platform X.
