Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, the former Member of Parliament for Ladakh and ex-BJP State President, expressed his gratitude today to Brig (Retd) Dr. BD Mishra, the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, following the Ministry of Home Affairs' announcement to create five new districts in the Union Territory.

Namgyal commended Lt. Governor Mishra's unwavering support for his parliamentary demands and praised the decision to grant district status to Zanskar, Nubra, Changthang, Sham, and Drass. The Modi Government's move was hailed as a landmark, aligning with regional aspirations and promoting comprehensive development. Namgyal emphasized the initiative's role in bringing administrative services closer to residents, thereby enhancing overall governance in Ladakh.

Additionally, Namgyal called for expedited boundary demarcation and the creation of essential posts to ensure effective service delivery. He also highlighted unresolved issues within the Suru-Sankoo and Shakar-Chiktan communities. Lt. Governor Mishra congratulated Namgyal on the establishment of the new districts, reaffirming the administration's commitment to improved governance and accessibility in Ladakh.
