Union Minister of Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi announced on Saturday that the Central government prioritizes empowering women and creating a safe environment for them.
Devi emphasized that while the Central government has introduced several measures to ensure women's safety, state governments must implement these schemes effectively. She made these remarks at the inauguration of the seventh Poshan Maah, a nationwide nutrition month initiative, held at Mahatma Mandir.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and state Women and Child Welfare Minister Bhanuben Babaria were also in attendance. Devi underscored the Centre's commitment to improving children's and women's nutrition and health, highlighting programs like 'Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi,' which aims to integrate education and nutrition for young children.
