Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the importance of environmental conservation while addressing the Vanamahotsavam programme at ECO Park in Guntur. He reiterated that the well-being of the people is his top priority, aiming for 50% greenery across the state. 'Everyone must plant at least one sapling per year,' said Naidu.

The CM welcomed everyone to join the effort, noting that unexpected rainfall had relocated the event from Narasaraopet to Guntur. Naidu revealed that the initiative has led to a 0.33% increase in oxygen levels and stressed restoring stormwater to enhance groundwater. He criticized the previous government for deforestation and natural resource exploitation, inviting people to experience nature at Mangalagiri Eco Park.

Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan thanked participants and the forest department. 'We aim to plant at least one crore saplings,' stated Kalyan. He emphasized environmental protection for future generations, recommending the Japanese book 'Miamoki' for conservation insights. 'There is no future without environmental protection,' he concluded.
